Edith Dakovic
Edith Dakovic is a Canadian artist living and working in Berlin, Germany. Born near Cologne Germany, Dakovic grew up in (Toronto)Canada and studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto and then went on to do postgraduate studies at Universität der Künste Berlin. Her work has been shown at international fairs in Frankfurt, Berlin, Madrid, Mexico City, and New York. In 2006, her work was included in group exhibitions: Shelter, Contemporary Art Institute Detroit, Detroit; nEUclear reactions, CAB de Burgos, Contemporary Art Centre Burgos, Spain; Zeugen der Abwesenheit, Kunstverein Tiergarten, Berlin-Mitte; and the Centre d’Art Passerelle, Brest, France. In 2007 she mounted a solo exhibition at Axéneo 7 Art Centre, Ottawa/Gattineau, where she premiered her newest video 36°N @ 14°19’E, 2007.
